Exactly why NWSL needs to partner with youth clubs now. If they don't do it USL likely will.

They're probably dripping the details out slowly to smoke out any clubs thinking about defecting from GA.

They're also probably waiting for ECNL to make an announcement to return volley with another announcement of their own.

Or, GA has no greater membership than US Club soccer already has with US Soccer and this is really nothing more than a nothing burger.

I'll wait on the NWSL announcement though.

Ideology and playing style matters a lot in this whole landscape. Back in the times of the war between DA and ECNL, DA training style was setup more for an international style. ECNL is catering to the college game which isn't pretty a lot of times.

Maybe this helps benefit the game to get away from the ugly NCAA format or pushes that game to be more in line with the international game.
