Really? Did any of them make a religious argument for why there is no constitutional right to abortion? Please cite me the page in the Dobbs majority or concurring opinions where those religious arguments are. You are pissed because a crappy decision that even Ginsburg knew rested on shakey legal ground was finally overturned. You can’t attack on the merits, so you go after the justices personally.

The other 9 amendments in the BOR recognize individual rights. The 2nd amendment created the state national guards. It’s a collective right, not an individual right. It’s just that it was accidentally inserted into a document that otherwise had a listing of individual rights. It was an oversight, a mistake. The sooner we acknowledge that the sooner we can do away with these guns.

If the framers could have known the state of gun violence in the US today, they never would have included the 2nd amendment as it is written.


It is so unfortunate that guns were invented then. More modern consumer products, like cars, are highly regulated.

Too bad the current court is not smart enough to understand societies need to evolve.


The Founding Fathers included the words "well regulated" for a reason... Guns need to be well regulated.


The militia is to be “well regulated.” In addition, look at all the progressive $hithole cities (including DC) with the most gun laws - ironically, they have the most gun violence. Gee, ya think there might be other things at work?


The US is becoming a sh#thole country BECAUSE it is being flooded with guns. Gun deaths and mass shootings are up everywhere in this country - cities, suburban, exurban, and rural. Guns are now the #1 killer of children.

Sounds like a sh#thole country to me.

That crappy decision, as you call it, was affirmed several times over by R's and D's. This court over-ruled because they could. Plain and simple. And the Catholics absolutley were not able to divorce themselves from the religious bias they view the issue through. Anyone who knows practicing and devout Catholics knows this to be true (and btw, this is BOTH sides of my family and I went to Catholic school).

You sweet summer child. The Catholic Justices who took away women's reproductive rights didn't reason their way to that result. They knew the result and came up with explanations later.

Yes, but firing people for not taking shots, closing schools and harming a generation of kids did not happen everywhere. Those events also did not have a significant impact on the trajectory of the disease in the US or abroad.

Please. They were specifically selected to do this because of their personal beliefs and they lied that they would defer to the fact that reproductive rights were held for 50 years by the women of this country. They have no respect for us and the feeling is mutual.

Confidence in the Supreme Court sank to its lowest point in at least 50 years in 2022 in the wake of the Dobbs decision that led to state bans and other restrictions on abortion, a major trends survey shows. The divide between Democrats and Republicans over support for abortion rights also was the largest ever in 2022, according to the General Social Survey. The long-running and widely respected survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago has been measuring confidence in the court since 1973, the same year that Roe v. Wade legalized abortion nationwide. In the 2022 survey, just 18% of Americans said they have a great deal of confidence in the court, down from 26% in 2021, and 36% said they had hardly any, up from 21%. Another 46% said they have “only some” confidence in the most recent survey.

84% of the people no little confidence in the court. I just do not think people will continue to abide by the fiat of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court does not have the authority to rule this country.
