The Illegitimacy of the Supreme Court

The problem is that most Democrats believe in no restrictions. That is unreasonable. It is extreme.
Just look at the bill that passed in Pelosi's House. No restrictions.

OK, then get a Republican House, Senate and President get a law passed at 16 weeks. Those that don't like it can head to Mexico or Canada and free up space for immigrants.

Not unreasonable. Canada has no restrictions.

Canada also has Trudeau. Looks like Alberta is looking to become the 51st state.

It’s not extreme to trust healthcare providers and women to make the best choices for their healthcare.

The key word in your post is "their," though I'm sure you meant it to refer to just women. However, one of the fundamental arguments that Conservatives make is that once a woman is pregnant, there are two lives at issue. By contrast, Progressives fundamentally believe that there is still only one life - the woman's - until the child is actually born. It's difficult to reconcile these positions on absolute basis, so many Independents believe that there should be reasonable limits on abortion, often expressed by the number of weeks into a pregnancy. Ostensibly, this is intended to allow women to make the "best choices for their healthcare" within that time period. This is, in fact, the position that many countries around the world have taken, thus there is room to compromise.

A voice of reason and what I believe the vast majority of people agree with also.

Your logic is seriously flawed.

The most important aspect of the abortion debate is the fact that honest, kind and good people truly disagree that abortion is synonymous with “murder”. Honest, kind and good people are not criminals. People who disagree with one another shouldn’t criminalize each others beliefs.

I used to believe that, but thanks to these extreme laws, I now understand that there are too many unforeseen risks with pregnancy. We can’t tie the hands of healthcare providers when determining care for pregnant women. I understand now that the Hippocratic oath is sufficient.

Those “various countries around the world” have universal healthcare and make it easy to get to the nearest abortion clinic.

Yeah. Bullshit. That’s a pretext. When Republicans push a bill that allows abortions in the first 12 weeks & for health emergencies thereafter we can talk about your crocodile tears over Democratic permissiveness.

It’s stupid to talk about two lives unless you make clear that the worth of the two lives is different. A woman’s life and well being are way more important than that of a zygote. Assuming you don’t subscribe to superstitious nonsense like blastocysts having souls and whatnot.

Dp- don’t forget no medicated abortion, Waiting periods, ultrasounds, forcing clinics closed and limiting access to non existent, and prison terms for doctors who make a “wrong” choice.
That would all have to stop as well.

Pro-life people don’t honestly believe abortion is murder. They’re lying for dramatic effect when they pretend to believe this.
