Yeah bc no jury comes back that quickly with a not guilty

Plus, it was already known that the jury's verdict was unanimous.

Except the O.J. Jury.

I thought he was guilty AF this whole time.
But the moment that eliminated any doubt that I might have had was when the verdict was read. There was no part of him that showed any indignation that I would expect a man like him to show if he were truly innocent. None. So glad the jury got it right.

He was given the maximum sentence: two consecutive life sentences.

Curious, how would an innocent person react?

His life was falling apart:
- his wife and song knew of pill problem
- his law firm confronted him that day about his embezzlement of law firm funds
- marriage was in trouble (see above)
- his son was awaiting trial for a death while driving his boat, where the son was drunk

- also, there are other suspicious deaths in his past. He is a liar and a con man.

But I still wonder exactly what happened.
Was it totally calculated? Is that why he called in Maggie to come to the house? Or was it all in a moment of rage?
Was she then intended target? Who did he shoot first, and why?
Did he shoot Paul first and then Maggie, because she was a witness? The other way around?

The death of their longtime housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield. She died after an "accident" at their home and AM collected $4.5M from an insurance policy, which was suppoed to be given to Gloria's family, but he pocketed every penny of it.

The death of a 19-year-old, Stephen Smith, is thought to be linked to the Murdaughs.

Who established the insurance policy on the housekeeper? The Murdaghs or her family?

A Murdaugh added commercial insurance to the home, which covered her death

The insurance policy was on the property, not Gloria and it was established by the Murdaughs

It should also be noted that the policy was taken out one month before Gloria's death.

I take it you didn't watch the show that this thread was started about!

His son Buster was widely-rumored to have been hooking up with a 19 yo who was gay and found in the middle of the road dead.

It is no different than driving drunk and killing your passenger.

And he should have been in jail for assaulting Morgan on the boat! Spit and slapped her.
