| Was that drone footage shown in court? What was said about it? |
Class and power. I believe his girlfriend was of lesser means so being with him was a step up. She had access to lots of things and experiences she wouldn't have otherwise and didn't tell her parents. The other kids, I think their parents probably condoned it as well a bit and they also were probably happy to be cool in the orbit of the Murdaughs. |
+1 Thank you. |
I actually showed to my teen the section of the documentary where they friends describe in detail the boating night. I asked my teen to point out to me all of the places the "good kids" could have made a better choice/saved themselves and chose not to. Its a great lesson in "good" kids make stupid choices in a group/under pressure. |
DH and I talked about having our teens watch this for the same reason. |
On the boat Paul said something to Morgan about how little her dad earned as a landscaper. I think her mom was a nurse at the local prison. They were solidly blue collar. I wonder why they moved from Long Island to South Carolina lowcountry. I wonder if they considered moving back to get Morgan away from that family. I would have. |
average. Private school for kids who dont get into clemson or USC |
Being a nurse isn't a blue collar job. |

Being a nurse isn't a blue collar job.
Umm… well it definitely isn’t a white collar job. Signed, a nurse. |
Umm… well it definitely isn’t a white collar job. Signed, a nurse. No, it’s an overly washed, probably poop and blood stained collar. Signed, another nurse. |
Umm… well it definitely isn’t a white collar job. Signed, a nurse. A nurse with an RN degree isn't "blue collar." " |
| Pink collar. (And I don’t mean that as an insult. I mean that it’s a role traditionally occupied by women and therefore underpaid and insufficiently respected.) |

The Murdaugh family's personal items are being auctioned off this week. There is a post on Facebook from the auction house with photos of many of the items from the home/property where the murder occurred.

| I might be mistaken, but Colleton is the name of the town/county in Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy. It was a corrupt place in the book as well. |
