Sign of acceptance?

This is just a coincidence. We had a play date at a Big 3 and while the kids were doing the play date, the parents toured the campus. The AD let us know we were the first group and she loved it when parents submitted applications, etc early in the process. Every family in our group of four got in. I didn’t read anything into it but I think getting all your applications and supporting documents in early makes an impression.

No, definitely not a bad sign. Don't read anything into this!!!

Received a letter from a Big 3 from a current student. Is this a good sign? Or do all applicants for HS get one. It was a really nice touch.

It is a sign that the admissions office isn't on the ball.

DC did not so may be a good sign for you. Was it an email?

It was a hand written note on the school letterhead from a current student.

Do you not believe my DC received a note from a current student? It was a random student - not someone they met during a visit. I’m just getting hopeful that it is a good sign and checking here to see if they are sent to everyone. I have no reason to lie. Maybe I’m reading too much into it!

I think doing your play date, tours, interviews, and getting your supporting documents in early is appreciated. That’s helps free up their calendars. But I don’t think schools read your application any earlier.

I don’t want to burst your bubble PP but my DD has received such letters from a couple of schools (from students other than the shadow host). I think some have student leaders do this as a nice gesture. But a neighbor applying has received the same thing. At other schools where the interviews went even better, we have received no communication other than the minimum to schedule things. At yet another school where we know she is already in, we have also received no communication other than the minimum. Just hang in there and try not to think about it until acceptances come out. I know…easier said than done!

Decisions really aren't made yet unless your kid is being brought in as an athletic recruit.
The committees have not even finished (or even started) meeting.

You might get lucky and get a call a few days early if you are applying for a sibling. If your a recruit. You will know probably by now. Otherwise, wait til 3/3.

How do they let recruits know? Curious, no chance of that happening for DD.
