Billionaire heiress abducted during her Friday morning run in Memphis

Why are you all victim blaming? Why can't a woman work?

I feel so badly for this woman. All that money can't really help in such an awful situation. I wonder how hard her life has been even before this - she seems to have aged decades since her wedding photos. Same for the husband but presume that's the addiction issues in his case.

It's not victim blaming. Look up the definition.

It's weird she worked, that is all. Nobody said she couldn't work.

It wouldn’t surprise me if husband’s addiction is somehow connected this. Drug debts don’t go away…

I’m no trust fund baby, but the one I knew did not come into her trust until age 30. She was a teacher. Pepsi heiress.

How is anyone assailant catching a woman who can easily run a sub-7:30 mile? If she was sprinting she could go even quicker. This is a woman who qualified for Boston. She could outrun a random criminal.

Also the police describe a “brief struggle”, which I guess is on the surveillance video. Again, doesn’t seem to add up with a woman in very good physical shape who could run to safety.

If there is a weapon or if the woman is surprised and grabbed by a stronger man, then she is easily overpowered. When you are attacked there is almost always a bi9logically-based period of freeze while you realize what is happening.

Like seemingly half the Dateline episodes, they sounded headed for divorce…

Does it look like the husband got hair plugs? It looks like older photos show he’s nearly bald. But the press conference video he has much thicker hair.

I think the husband looks normal in the press conference. I’m all about it usually being the husband, but the evidence so far substantially decreases the odds he’s involved.

Do we know if she is still alive?

So far, from the lovely people on this thread, we’ve learned that the victim was:

1) A slutty slutterson who doesn’t even wear her full red gown and white wimple while running

2) A wrinkled crone who is aging too quickly

3) An over-exaggerating smiler

4) A teacher but probably a lazy trust fund teacher who is taking a job from someone who really needs it but who is also lazy but also she shouldn’t be working

5) A selfish, slutty, stupid athlete who runs at the wrong time of day but also doesn’t even run fast enough to run away from someone who surprised her, maybe with a weapon, like geez girl why couldn’t you outsprint him

6) On drugs herself. We’re just guessing, but maybe probably

It is sad that, as a women, you don’t have the freedom to move about as you want. You should be able to, but the reality is, certain times of evening/morning is just isn’t safe for women to be out alone.

I never believed this and thought it was sexist paranoia until life taught me otherwise

You live in the most dangerous town per capita in America? Memphis is a hellhole full of psychopath violent criminals and drug addicts. Two things are obvious: She’s an irrational running addict raised in a bubble which makes her oblivious to the dangers of the world -and- her husband is a POS. You want to run at 4am, I guarantee there’s a university fitness center you do it at.

University fitness centers are not open at 4 a.m.

-NP who has worked on three university campuses

I knew some smartass would respond. A billionaire family can get those hours changed. I have seen that very thing occur. But it was 5am (not 4am) for the mega donor who lived right next to campus.

Why didn't she have a treadmill????

Oh, AND she was autistic, as diagnosed by Dr. DCUM! AND she married outside her…wait for it…her caste.
