Incorrect. He worked for Councilmembers directly too. |

He worked for Vince Grey when Grey was Mayor and also Council Chair.

Yes, as a budget guy telling them to come up with fiscally sound proposals. No one likes to hear they have to stick to a budget.
So much animus from DCUM. Goulet must have something going for him. |
Yes, dark money and the business community. |
They they need to find a way to get the CoC to release the video. |
Charters are great! But they shouldn't have to be great at the expense of our neighborhood by-right schools and we shouldn't be making them compete. Those things are entirely separate from DFER which is a completely shady dark money org and has successfully brokered us into a terrible place. If you care about supporting neighborhood schools, you don't support DFER candidates. Matt Frumin has been working for common sense reforms that would immediately solve so many of the conflicts between charters and neighborhood schools for as long as I have known him. We can have both. We should have both. DFER seems to just want to create more and more charters to line the pockets of overpaid administrators and funnel more money to educational consultants. |

If Goulet has no issue with the video being released as is claimed, then he should have joined with the letter.
Being opaque only makes this worse for both Goulet and the business community supporting him. |
| I like Goulet. In the Education forum he seemed the only adult in the room who could acknowledge that Ward 3 schools are overcrowded now because of the successful policies over the past 2 decades. There's room for improvement, but its a mistake to just throw out mayorial control of schools without fully understanding the alternative (which in the past has really produced terrible results). |
| If I hear Fruman talking again about bringing ice hockey to ward 3 I'm going to scream. That guy is either completely out of touch or just tries to appease the special interest in front of him. Someone must be screaming loudly about ice hockey but really, I expect someone running for council to recognize that this is not a district wide issue. |
I read the article and it literally says that the chamber is not releasing the video because it was not pre-agreed as a condition of participation and that the other candidates are using that fact to “gin up controversy”. So yeah, seems a typical DC manufactured “controversy” akin to the “outrage” at Cheh’s comments about voucher holders - which was an example used in the article. |
You misread it then. Goulet says it shouldn't be released because the candidates didn't ask for it to be released before the forum. He then says he doesn't mind if it is released. He refused to join the joint letter asking for it to be released. And the Chamber of Commerce wrote on May 11 that it would be released. PUT IT TOGETHER FOLKS. |
| So he doesn’t mind if it is released? |
Shouldn’t a council member be concerned about and represent their ward’s particular interests? He’s not running for the at-large seat. |
So he claims. But he refused to ask for it to be released. I'll be you $20 he asked the Chamber to not release the video. I practically guarantee it. |
