2025 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

I'm a partisan, and my daughter imagines me to be the king of the jinx, so I won't be hazarding a prediction.

My take on the top 4:

1. Stone Ridge (clear favorite) -- Several top players and more depth than any team in the ISL;

2. Preseason Tie -- Potomac, with loaded 2025 class, and some nice contributors in 26 and 27, will fight it out with SSSAS assuming the Saints get their injured players back at full strength

4. Visi -- Lost a lot to gradation, but may have the best single player in the DC area now (class of '26) with the 3 time MET player of the year from GC graduating.

You are all clearly delusional. If anyone lost people at graduation it was stone ridge who also lost a lot of key players to injuries (probably a coaches issue if all these girls keep getting hurt). I think we all need a clear reality check that Potomac will never be great only averagely good. Saints is also very overestimated this season. Visi is the strongest team BY FAR in the isl. Lets all keep in mind that stone ridge has already lost to saints and Potomac so ranking them 1 is out right absurd and insane. You need to look deeply into the teams and see what they truly are- team with alot of average player or a team with all top players that know how to work together well (visi).

Embarrassing for Potomac.

Not SJC's best game. Played better vs PVI but secured the 2 seed at minimum for playoffs. Ireton vs PVI should be a battle for the 3 seed.

Collegiate is no joke this year. They can play.

Collegiate lost by 1 to GC and by 2 to SSSAS and played STAB tight twice.

A scalp was coming for them.

Visi over SR tomorrow-better coached and better defense.

The post you are criticizing was from the preseason and clearly overestimated SR... But kind of a straw man to pull it up now.

My daughter's team has played all four (HC, PVI, SJC and BI all have). From those games, I can say that SSSAS is "by far" the top team in the ISL regular season to date. We will see if Visi can climb the ladder when they finally start their head to head matchups versus the other top 3 next week.

Sssa plays selflessly. If you want to beat KJ, you have to play her game. Make the extra pass. Don’t rely on isolation plays and then look for the dump. Whoever moves the ball the most selflessly will win. Every team is stacked with good players.

SSSAS has more depth on their bench than any team has seen this year. Playoffs will be fun but if other teams try and go to their top 2 or 3 shooters they will lose. Saints defense is just too good!
