Could this be the the impetus to get rid of trump,?
Scott McConnell, co-founder of The American Conservative, wrote on X on Sunday. "My advice to Vance: Announce your support of 25th amendment transition,” https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/co-founder-american-conservative-group-205527363.html |
| No. |
| Omg yes please! We need trump and Netanyahu OUT |
They want to ride the party down to extinction. They’d better hope that Trump doesn’t die before he can pardon them. |
Trump won't pardon Vance or rubio. |
| How would this work? I assume vance would have to have 50% of the cabinet on board before he went this route. But how to you line that up without word getting back to Trump, and if word gets back to Trump, does this become a case of treason? |
| Vance? Does he have the balls to do anything? |
Kkkaroline, dear, please learn the meaning of the word "treason," it's LEGAL meaning, dear. |
We already know that Trump is treasonous. |
Why would it be treason? It is his duty to invoke the 25 Amendment to protect the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. I suspect that Vance and Rubio could get Bessent, Hogsbreath. In fact, once begun everyone but Mockwain mullet would sign on. Bondi and Patel would but only for a promise is of a pardon. |
| omg not happening. |
| 100% not happening. Vance has no future in politics except as a toady and he knows it. |
| This will never happen. Vance has zero incentive to do this via force when the likelihood of him becoming President via Trump's death is high anyhow. |
| No way a soulless coward like Vance does anything. |

The 25th is very unlikely. It requires a majority of the Cabinet. And if Trump is unwilling to go, it will require two-thirds of both the House and the Senate. It's not so easy.
Impeachment after the midterm is probably more viable. But that will still require 15-20 Republican senators to vote to convict. Hard to see that happening. But after November Trump is a dead weight on Republican prospects. So maybe if the war on Iran goes disastrously wrong. It's still very unlikely. In an ideal world, the deeply unpopular, rapidly declining geriatric Joe Biden wouldn't have run for reelection and gifted the election to Trump. But here we are. As Obama said, elections have consequences. |
