Why did the skier have to say anything at all? He’s entitled to his opinion, but I get the impression that he is trying to straddle a line in order to keep or land sponsors/endorsements. POTUS was pointing out, albeit crudely, that the skier represents the US and that’s all he needed to say.

Why can't the skier speak about his views? Moreover, why is a skier subject to more scrutiny than the President? Perhaps the person who shouldn't have said anything is Trump.

He has a right to say whatever he wants to say, just as Trump has a right to proudly share his racist thoughts with the world. He doesn’t like what this athlete said, and millions upon millions of his dislike Trump’s increasingly uncontrollable racism. If anything, we should all be inspired by Trump to express our true opinions 😆
