Yall said this same bullshat about the Superbowl performance. You swore that Americans would not tune in to see Bad Bunny, but Kid Rock because T(oilet) P(aper) USA reflected what Americans wanted to see. You were WRONG! And you are WRONG on this issue as well. |

Presidents usually either don't respond publicly or say that the person is within his or her rights to voice an opinion. We all know our dear leader has less impulse control than the average kindergartener.

Helsinki 2017
Seoul 2017 London 2019 Osaka 2019 ^All places Donald Trump spoke horribly that only Donald Trump could about the USA, US cities, and former presidents. |
I like being entertained as much as the next person, but maybe we can use some other criteria to choose the head of the Executive Branch? |
| MAGA loves to cancel people. |
What, you don’t think that dementia addled pedophiles should be the chief figurehead of the country? |
Tell that to some Western European country politicians have criticized their athletes when they spoke badly of their home countries. No, I won’t quote them for you - do your own research. |
It’s called having class. While President Trump reacted poorly, the American people knew what they were getting when they re-elected him. You may hate his guts, but he is the President and has a right to comment on US athletes casting aspersions on the country that helped them get to the Olympics and whose flag under which they compete. Just say you’re proud to represent the US at the Olympics. If you’re not, then don’t represent it. Simple. |
Huh? They both have "the right" to express themselves. But the onus is on the president of the United States to act with dignity for goodness sake. Trump is the one behaving like a buffoon here. |
There is lots of politics at the Olympics. Some countries are barred from sending anyone to compete at all because of their behavior. US athletes are not required to ignore reality. |
Where is having class when the President call a Olympian Athlete a loser? Also, using your dumb logic, couldn't Trump have just said nothing? Simple. |
So you agree the skier was wrong to comment? |
DP. Failing to understand how he was "wrong to comment". He was asked a question. He answered. He was specifically asked how it feels to be representing the U.S. with "things going on back home." Was he just supposed to act like nothing was going on back home, and not address the question? This is what he said. "It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. right now, I think. It's a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of and I think a lot of people aren't. I think for me, it’s more I’m representing my, like, friends and family back home, the people that represented it before me, all the things that I believe are good about the U.S. I just think if it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I’m representing it. Just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the U.S.” What part of this is wrong you think? Most of us know that silence=complicity. |
Nobody believes you. Anybody can throw out some BS without any evidence or sources. |
And in case you don't know and is posting from Moscow, the athletes have a right to say exactly what they said. Just say, you don't believe in the First Amendment and move on. |
