Daughter would like a USC kinda school. Good academics with sports, parties, greek life.
She doesn't want south or conservative. in DCUM parlance, we're very woke. She has good academics but USC is a tough admit. a place like Syracuse would be a safety, possibly with merit. She has Michigan and Wisconsin and some UCs on her list. Cornell is possible, but she wants to study business and she won't get into Dyson. She'd get into Tulane, but is put off by male/female lopsided nature. We'll look at Indiana. I tried to talk her into BC but we toured and she's not down for Catholic. (we're also not white and it seemed very white on tour). Coming from NYC. Full pay Any ideas? |

Penn State
Michigan State Arizona Arizona State UConn |
| Colgate |
| Colgate is relatively conservative. |

lean into Indiana IMO. great business + great sports + lots of NYC there.
she can ED to a reach like Penn CAS if she wants. be careful of state schools without a big OOS group. you don't want your college circle to be staying in the southwest if that's not your plan. |
Not compared to the other schools OP listed. |
| CU bolder maybe. |
| Bucknell. IYKYK. |

This really isn't that hard. If you take out the Southern schools and the Catholic/Jesuit schools, you don't have a lot left. Have her look at flagships in the north and west. There really aren't that many. UW would be a good fit. Illinois?
Is your daughter ok with Texas? SMU and TCU? |
| Gonna be hard to get into SEC Greek life, and certainly a top house, if you're openly woke. |
| maybe Notre Dame? I mean, it's more catholic than BC but a little more diverse. great sports and great business. REA doesn't help much so maybe just add it to the list and if she gets in, take a look. |
this is not the flex you think it is. |
I hate to agree with Bucknell Booster, but this and some other Patriot League schools have that vibe. Lehigh, e.g. |
| OP, your DD sounds annoying. And Indiana is probably more conservative and racist than a lot of the south. IYKYK |
| I like the suggestion of Colgate. |
