| Anyone done any sort of statistical analysis comparing this to what TX did? Just looking at the maps this seems way "worse" and is quite an escalation. That might just be because I'm more familiar with VA geography though. |
Here's the language: “Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?” A normal person is not going to know what "restore fairness" means. It also doesn't mention that redistricting in the middle of a decade is very unusual. It's also misleading because it refers to "the upcoming elections" but this initiative actually covers the next two election cycles. You can't leave shit out or try to hide the ball about what you're really doing. |
So you are ok with gerrymandering. Got it. 👍 |
Of course a "normal" person is going to understand these things. Even dumbass MAGA knows what the language is talking about. Even you, who is particularly moronic, know exactly what it refers to. |
+1 Don’t like it? Clean up the GOP dumpster fire. |
Bub, I'm going to clue you in to something, because clearly nobody else in your life is. It's obvious from your posts that you get your news from Fox News, Drudge, Newsmax, and the Washington Times. You are being hoodwinked. Taken for a fool. Deluded because you lack the sophistication to spot obvious distortions, half-truths, or outright lies. Those of us living in the real world - consuming news from a wide variety of sources, produced by actual journalists and not partisan hacks pretending to be - know that Republicans are incredibly unlikely to prevail. |
We should take notes on how the GOP has done this to black people. We might get some ideas. No polling booths within 20 miles of a dollar general. |
Weird because you sound like what politicos euphemistically refer to a "low-information voter." |
The referendum language was clear. The misleading language came directly from MAGA propaganda. Jones should go after them for illegal activities during an election. |
Pfft. Good luck with that. This thing is a goner. |
Every Republican accusation is a confession. I hope you escape from your echo chamber someday. |
You sound very Trump-y, the way you ignore substantive arguments and just call people names and repeat moronic bumper sticker slogans you read somewhere. |
You have not put forth a single substantive argument. You called me a bratty teenager (hey look, there's that projection again!!) and claimed that "adults" are saying it is going to be "obviously overturned." Is that what passes as a substantive argument among MAGAs these days? Grow up. |
You have a very interesting idea of what constitutes a “substantive” argument. |
