| I'm ambivalent about her overall: admirable how she's walked the line with the monster on Pa. Ave and how she got our major league sports back into the city after they were moving to Virginia, less enthusiastic about some other initiatives. But... might she run for Eleanor Holmes Norton's seat??? We so need a replacement for her - so she can retire with some dignity after a really admirable career. |
| Yeah I’m a DC government employee and that email we got this afternoon, which is one she sends every Friday, certainly seems to indicate she is not running again. |
WaPo is reporting on it: that's where I saw the news. |
| I’m sure she has her eyes on Eleanor Holmes Norton’s position in Congress. Now the question is which of the DC council clowns will run to replace her. |
|
I appreciate Mayor Bowser's service and wish her well.
I feel like Kenyan McDuffie might have a chance to make it as our next mayor. |
| I’m sure she’s had enough. Impossible job these days. |
| Thank goodness. Can’t wait for her to be gone. Walked the line? DC was robbed of a BILLION dollars and she looks the other way while our neighbors are being disappeared. Disgusting. |
|
She admitted the federal agents in DC drove down all crime significantly.
Maybe other mayors like Johnson in Chicago would welcome the help???? From her statement: "Having more federal law enforcement officers on the street — [has led to] having more stops that got to illegal guns," Bowser said during a prior news conference. "We think that there is more accountability in the system, or at least perceived accountability in the system, that is driving down illegal behavior. We know that we have had fewer gun crimes, fewer homicides, and we have experienced an extreme reduction in carjackings." |
The time is right. |
| Hallelujah! So ready for her to be gone. We need term limits on the mayor position |
|
Trayon 2026!
|
Good one. |
| Doesn't matter who comes next because DC residents will never be satisfied. #51st |
| As long as it’s not McDuffie. Terrible, useless, crooked. No thanks. |
