Kinda hilarious that JLG, who can barely round up 10,000 votes in her own ward with nearly 100,000 people, could be considered the favorite to win anything citywide.

I don't live in her ward and know almost nothing about her, but it is impressive she already qualified for the match of public election funds in the first 4 hours of her campaign, something Murial didn't do for 2 weeks in 2022.

Ward 4 resident and this is news to me. Most of my neighbors can’t stand her.

Another Ward 4 resident who genuinely detests her, but I do know that there's a certain contingent (white, excitable, moved here in the last 5 years) who are giddy about JLG. These are the people who brought us Nadeau and then moved north to continue a path of nonsense.

The woke squad, as Bowser has dubbed them, has a small but dedicated following.

They don't get any softer on crime than JLG. Which led to a spectacular rise in crime in DC. Which led to Trump taking over the city's police force and the occupation that we now all live with for the foreseeable future. Which JLG will surely argue is why she deserves a promotion.

You may be right. I voted for her as a protest vote against Todd only to realize he at least handled basic constituent services like sending the leaf collectors back around if they skipped your block. So if she could make me appreciate Todd I have no doubt that there's a successor in the wings who could make me appreciate her.
