What’s your call for Visi v Stone Ridge? |
My guess is SR by 3 or so, variables are whether Visi’s top player plays and is healthy, which impacts substantially draw controls and their offensive efficiency. And officiating on SR’s smaller, home field, and whether SR’s physicality is permitted. SR has the size to be disruptive and some quickness, but they can over-check and over-body. If that’s permitted against Visi’s better players, Visi may have a tough day. But if Visi controls possession with their top player in good form, who is a game changing talent, they have enough other college-bound players to beat SR. Another good game. |
Great analysis. +1 on your prediction. Have seen both teams. SSSAS has a bit more firepower |
I like the posts by our lax grandma --they always make sense and they kind of recalibrate and give you another perspective to look at because people can get off track about the bigger picture! We need the entire DMV area doing well and winning to keep us on the map so future generations of lacrosse players continue to be recruited and viewed as competitive! Otherwise recruiting will be swallowed up by the New York, New Jersey and Philly players! The region success is important! |
Do you have the link for the inside lacrosse? I didn’t see it.? |
I think I know who it is they work nights! |
| SSSAS 8 - STAB 7. |
No shot clock - stall ball for the last 6 minutes |
brutal |
However, stall ball where STAB had it three times and couldn’t score. |
Classic sssa |
SR won it in a blow out |
Were you watching the same SSSA STAB game we live streamed? Was back and fourth. Sssa had it with 6 minutes to go, stab got it back with 3 and a half, SSSA got it back with 45 seconds and got an 8 meter with about 10. Goalie save and clock ran out. Not sure when there was a 6 min stall on either side. Both teams were back and forth in those final minutes. |
| I'm assuming the NCS talk is officially over....they barely beat Maret today who got destroyed by Bullis earlier this week. |
+1, no stall ball, both teams had an unforced TO in the last 5 min. Competitive game the whole way, with pace determined as much by the sweltering heat than no shot clock. STAB was smart not to push pace, as they have less depth and SSSA had the edge in draw controls. Not a clean game, but no surprise in a rivalry match that we’ll likely see again in May. |
