This game is an excellent matchup with two very good teams. Even Inside Lacrosse called it out as a “must see” rivalry game this week.  STAB has the home-field advantage and is coming off close and impressive wins against quality opponents in Good Counsel and Visi.  They are playing great lacrosse.

SSSA also is coming off two wins against a talented Loyola team and a dominant win against Potomac, staying undefeated. Whoever wins this game makes a statement, and it’s likely a preview of the state championship final as well.  STAB may have a bit more motivation because a win for sure ranks them in the Top 25, whereas a SSSA win likely ends them up higher in the Top 10-15 range.  All great for the game in this region south of B-more.

I’m going with a two point game, with a lean toward SSSA despite both teams having excellent players and abundant college talent.  But I think the edge goes to SSSA because of more depth of talent and balance overall, on a scorcher of a day.  Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the opposite either. Good luck to both teams. [/quote]
