Saints have the ISL locked up
2026 Class - SSSAS
2027 Class - SSSAS or SR
2028 Class - ???
2029 Class - SSSAS
2030 Class - SR

I'd go with SR at 2027, and likely in 2028 as well.

Regarding all the talk of committed players, it's more important to focus on the quality than just the total number. You need to identify 4/5-star players and build around that in the analysis. At some point, a committed player and a NARP add similar incremental value.

Have to agree about what “committed” means in evaluating team strength. All commitments deserve to be celebrated, first of all. That said, some commitments are to colleges with very weak programs, including some that have a hard time filling their rosters until last minute. But then also consider that there are always a few players that go to D3 programs that are better academic schools that could have gone to mid to lower ranked D1 schools but whose academics are less than stellar. It’s not as straightforward as “more commits equals better”, though it does indicate a certain level of dedication to the sport as a whole.

Also what about commitments to schools that have above an 80 percent acceptance rate? Yes of course all commitments are to be celebrated but your daughter could have gone there without devoting lots of hours and dollars and blood and sweat and tears to lacrosse over the years.

One can’t be judgey. Just think of all the people who pay for SSSAS and then sit the bench. They must like that experience.

Is this supposed to be funny? Making fun of kids who work hard? That’s your idea of a joke?

They sit the bench at SR too. It is troubling that the coaches don’t clear the benches at lopsided games.

Is this your first time on DCUM? I’m confounded, isn’t this whole thing about trying to fulfill your own superiority complex? That’s what I’ve been using it as anyways…

SSSAS - 4 D1 Commits (1-5 Star) 5 D3 Commits

Visi - 2 D1 Commits
HC - 2 D1 Commits 1 D3

2028's
SR - 3 Heros Green
SSSAS - 1 Capital Blue
Potomac - 4 Capital Blue
Visi - 2 Capital Blue 1 Heros Green
HC - 2 Capital Blue 1 M&D Black
NCS - 3 Capital Blue

Thats all I'm doing I'm sure there is way more on the B Teams for the 28's. Commits are obviously easier to count.

Are you sure NCS only has 3 Cap Blue 2028s? It feels like a lot more than that when you play them.

NCS parent please give it a rest! Perhaps it feels like your team is oh so great b/c it is in the low division.

Not to hijack this thread but I have a questino re D3 commits. How would SSSAS already have D3's in the 27 class? I thought they couldn't go down that road until next fall?

D3s can commit at pretty much anytime.

Instead of championship rings, they can get Fossil watches to mark the feat.

And one of Saints 2026 top defenders out with ACL injury.

It works to everyone’s advantage in the ISL and the DMV if SSAS is playing good competition & winning against out-of-region, out-of-state, out-of-league competition. If your team is losing but playing good competition in your own league and schools that are in your own backyard that are doing well, that also elevates your program. It is not healthy or good for our lacrosse community to bet against our own league schools. So you all should be rooting for SSAS to beat STAB. It looks good for the rest of the ISL league and all the local schools when one of our own local schools beats an out-of-region school. So a little more positivity and lacrosse community support for our schools playing out-of-league or out-of-region schools would actually be supportive instead of the crap I’ve been reading on here. Come on People!

At times, I find myself curious about who posts the nighttime pro-SSSAS messages that sound as if they were written by my grandmother (may she rest in peace).

That message seems pro-DMV more than anything, and also seems measured, rationale and supportive, or as you say, written by an adult with some experience and perspective. Wouldn’t want that in this forum, let’s go back to the teenagers trolling you about NCS lax dominance.

This game is an excellent matchup with two very good teams. Even Inside Lacrosse called it out as a “must see” rivalry game this week. STAB has the home-field advantage and is coming off close and impressive wins against quality opponents in Good Counsel and Visi. They are playing great lacrosse.

SSSA also is coming off two wins against a talented Loyola team and a dominant win against Potomac, staying undefeated. Whoever wins this game makes a statement, and it’s likely a preview of the state championship final as well. STAB may have a bit more motivation because a win for sure ranks them in the Top 25, whereas a SSSA win likely ends them up higher in the Top 10-15 range. All great for the game in this region south of B-more.

I’m going with a two point game, with a lean toward SSSA despite both teams having excellent players and abundant college talent. But I think the edge goes to SSSA because of more depth of talent and balance overall, on a scorcher of a day. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the opposite either. Good luck to both teams.
