I just voted straight Democrat in PA for the first time in my life because of this decision.

So you place your grubby self interest above all else. Got it.

I dont get why they can find people that have standing to sue this crap policy by fiat. I have student loans that will not be forgiven and my taxes will definitely increase to cover it. Multiple that by millions like me and others that dont have student loans and seems like a alot of eocnomic harm

Why the administration didn’t stand a refund application sooner is beyond me. I doubt a court would have ordered people to pay anything back even while ruling the order was unconstitutional. But this lawsuit will move fast and the whole thing will likely be enjoined without anyone seeing relief.

Whatever a$$hat organization filed this lawsuit is just plain nasty.

Bummer that your free money government handout is in jeopardy. God forbid you behave like a fiscally responsible adult and pay your own bills.

yea god forbid these people have to pay their bills. I pour everything in paying my student loans because its MY DAMN RESPONSIBLITY.

We’ve become a country of deadbeats. People have been conditioned to always look for government handouts. Pathetic.

Yeah. Pay for your own damn kids, too. I’m glad you all didn’t take any of the child tax credits, PPs.

Because that would be completely hypocritical.

[NP who didn’t get loan forgiveness or a child tax credit]

I’m a Dem, and I support it. Tax billionaires at the same rate as their secretaries and we’ve paid for it 100 times over. Or better yet, stop paying rich people to leave agricultural land fallow. Or end tax breaks for political activist churches. Or end corporate bankruptcy and make the owners personally liable for debts. Instead we just give give give to the billions to these folks, and attack each other over a mere pittance of forgiveness so maybe they won’t be indentured servants forever.

This is why America sucks. So effin selfish, so shortsighted.

NP. Eh. The American dream is long long dead. Trump has revealed how racist and selfish most of us are. And yes, have secured foreign passports for girl and women-safe countries.

I’m going to inflame the morons and troll them for their hypocrisy every chance I get - it’s my constitutional right. If you don’t want to hear hard facts and want a strong man to protect you, why don’t you mosey over to someplace like Hungary or China.

But cotes by rewarding the losers. Folic no systemic problems with over-inflated cost of education or constraints on discharging student debt. All theatrics and no substance. Typical democrat BS. Next thing will be democrats kneeling with kinte cloths on the capitol rotunda like performative idiots.

Just wait for this idiot moderator to delete.

Honestly think this is all a cynical ploy by the Biden administration to buy votes for the mid terms.

If it manages to survive court challenges, then they get the progressive faction off their backs. If they lose, they can make a show that they tried and use to campaign for the next election in 24. Who cares about the people being used as pawns if the forgiveness falls through.

Personally, think its executive overreach and will somehow get smacked down by the courts if it manages to get the to the supreme court but Biden will reap the benefits either way
