Saints 2026 class is insane. No other isl program comes close to the number of D1 commits as saints (playing). Potomac has 3, SR has 2 (? Heard the Princeton commit is out for the season), visi has 4, and Saints has like 15. This is Saints’ year to lose. Period.
Saints have the ISL locked up 2026 Class - SSSAS 2027 Class - SSSAS or SR 2028 Class - ??? 2029 Class - SSSAS 2030 Class - SR
I'd go with SR at 2027, and likely in 2028 as well. Regarding all the talk of committed players, it's more important to focus on the quality than just the total number. You need to identify 4/5-star players and build around that in the analysis. At some point, a committed player and a NARP add similar incremental value.
Have to agree about what “committed” means in evaluating team strength. All commitments deserve to be celebrated, first of all. That said, some commitments are to colleges with very weak programs, including some that have a hard time filling their rosters until last minute. But then also consider that there are always a few players that go to D3 programs that are better academic schools that could have gone to mid to lower ranked D1 schools but whose academics are less than stellar. It’s not as straightforward as “more commits equals better”, though it does indicate a certain level of dedication to the sport as a whole.
Also what about commitments to schools that have above an 80 percent acceptance rate? Yes of course all commitments are to be celebrated but your daughter could have gone there without devoting lots of hours and dollars and blood and sweat and tears to lacrosse over the years.
