Probably not advice anyone wants to hear that also went 0-4 at the $$ event.

Why? My daughter went. She really enjoyed the experience. Lot of bonding time with her friends. To us, this was our vacation. So, keep your opinions to yourself troll and individual families will make their own decisions.

As for the best talent not needing this event. I completely disagree. They may not do this particular even, even though the majority do, best they are always doing something and some type of event. So you keep your money Know and spend it later for college

Your vacation money was spent at the deleware turf with triple digit temperatures? You might be missing the mark.

I thought vacation was quality time with your family? Pretty sure I got the mark

I’m fine with that. You do you. My daughter had fun and played well. Top three teams in our bracket make it to the semis.

But hey, if knocking 13 year old girls down and trying to make them feel like crap is your thing, you stay rich. I’m stay positive about my kid and keep worrying about her

When you get off your high horse and realize that your kid isn’t living up to your dreams, I’m come find you

Of course if you are who I think you are, you are already throwing temper tantrums on the sidelines

Did someone say Temper tantrums? Any reports of SD getting thrown out again?

Unsolved mysteries needs this for a new episode!

If you don’t let them do that, your kids will be burnt out in a few years, as seen by coaches. Plus, no college coaches on the sidelines of 2028 or even 2027. “Let them eat cake” for once!

Amen brother. I am going with my DD out to the fields today to do drills until she pukes. You know, because if I don't let her work hard enjoying what she loves on a random Sunday after a long lacrosse season she's going to get burnt out.

Sorry to disappoint the drama seekers, and negative trolls, but American Select was a good experience overall. The players made friends, worked hard, and improved their team play over the 3 days. Some positive signs for the future.

Parents were cool and got along--even, or especially, Stars and Pride. YJ folks were great as well.

Tournament was well-run even if parking is a rip-off. Rehoboth was chill for time in between, especially given the late games.

Other than the heat, not a bad time.

So the pessimists who will inevitably respond with some troll nonsense, can vibe-check themselves.

This is exactly what events like this should be - fun for the kids. If you don’t mind the politics associated with team selections and the high cost of the event there are worse places than Rehobeth to hangout.

Having several kids playing in college this event will have little to no impact on recruiting, so am glad you have the right perspective. Just enjoy the experience.

Glad that everyone had fun and made friends because in the end that is all that matters!!!

Props to the Stars foghorn and no fist a cuffs with the cross town rivals. The refs seem to be spared too.

I think many of the players this weekend will have a good chance to make blue. It will take some time, but once they click together, they will be very strong. Plus, I know there will Be a few more players who will want to come to Capital that are strong players as well

So, yes, they will be a good team

NL also had 3-4 girls who have a good shot at blue. Should be fun to see the team come together.

Agree with this. That's what I was suggesting in the OP.

What would make this Cap Blue team great would be if they can poach some of the local MD teams (Heros) talent.

Why does everyone think we need to poach from Hero’s, M and D, or Skywalkers? Every Capital team does just fine without taking girls from any of those teams.

Capital will be fine without any of those girls, and my kid won’t have to travel nearly as far

“Everyone” thinks we beed to poach from Heros, Skywalkers and M&D? I am the previous poster and I only mentioned Heros because there are some really good players who live in the area that may want to give Capital a look. I am going to work hard to make sure that they do. B/c I want the best Cap Blue team as everyone should.
