Should a coach travel on a family’s private plane?

To an out of state swim meet? Do you think that shows good boundaries and self-awareness? Y or N?

It's fine.

Why do traveling events? What are we doing as parents that this is thing?
Far enough for a flight?

If it’s that far, then yeah sure.

No. Coach is being short sighted and dazzled by the private plane. The rest of the club will always suspect the coach of favoritism and being beholden to the private plane swimmer. They might be able to get away with it once, but when the coach accepts other favors and perks, the rest of the team will always resent the relationship.

Swim is one of the only sports where stats speak for themselves....

What if the private jet host is the summer rep for a team that just gave their indoor space to a new, un-tested club owned by the coach?

What if you just name names instead of being coy?

Only appropriate if the family with the plane was the only swimmer in the meet.
