re VIVA: Both. A few found other cllubs, and a couple stayed and are with the 07s from what I've heard. I think they only had a half dozen 08s last season.

As an NCSL parent, I noticed the MSI Academy "split" between EDP and NCSL.

Promises aside, will there really be a CCL2/Championship division this fall? I'll update McLean (and other league participants) once a schedule is posted to all to see. If all results are in, only five of ten CCL1 games were played over the weekend.

I just wish clubs didn't rename teams once a top team moves to GA/ECNL/etc. It just gets confusing. Players already come and go, there is no need to have the extra layer of renaming teams that remain somewhat intact.

Changing names helps game the system.

No it doesn’t in fact it makes things worse for a team ranking in Gotsoccer.

Check out BSC and get back to us. The BSC blue changed to the Fury. They won one tournament in two years and all of the sudden look at how high the Fury are ranked. All their losses disappeared and their one win is the only thing showing. So it works.

I do not think BSC did it to game the system but it worked out for them.

08's have yet to be properly migrated to U13 in Gotsoccer and it is September 3rd. Teams go from 9v9 to 11v11 and Gotsoccer requires a percentage of previously rostered players to maintain the Gotsoccer points form the year before. A team name change has little to do with this in as much as teams essentially being merged to create 11v11.

U13 is to chaotic to pay much attention to the rankings other than actual legacy rankings. Things generally adjust by late spring going forward. Using Youthsoccer rankings can provide more information to provide missing context from Gotsoccer.

I completely agree with your assessment. In addition, due to COVID-19, teams haven’t really played since the March/April and many players are sitting out.

Loudoun 08s will win the Obgc Tourney top bracket

For 08 McLean green becomes ECNL. Former white team is not green and so on. I believe the same goes for Loudoun and BRYC. Arlington top team is now GA (for girls) and ECNL 9for boys) their white team becomes the red team.

The team from Richmond is the team to beat in VA and MD. Nova teams are not even close.

The team with the least COVID-19 infected players is the winner.

No, the PP has a pretty accurate assessment of Richmond
