No connection to either team. I saw a lot of that game from the next field over. Richmond had the run of play. VSA did not create much. It ended in a tie and penalty shoot-out. Richmond should be a lot better on the full size field. Richmond’s midfield(offensive mids) and defenders look to translate well to the full field. VSA is definitely better vs other teams in NoVa. The girls should feel good about the over time shoot out win.

From what I saw over 6 months ago on a small field in one tournament. It’s is Richmond(clear and away), VSA(best NoVa), Loudoun(step down from VSA) and the rest a step or two below Loudoun. Will be interesting to see what happens on the full field. This year will be hard to read. I image some girls will not play and whole teams were carried over with little change from last year. There should be some shockers at tournaments.

Question out of curiosity. The VDA 2008 team - is it made up of VSA or PWSI players. Having watched both teams play last fall I would assume VSA girls but knowing that their coach is a PWSI guy made me curious. Anyone with knowledge on the team able to satisfy my curiousity?
