The DC government runs on bribery. |
I think people will appreciate her more once she’s gone. |
Only in comparison to who might succeed her. |
Nope. I'm looking forward to a mayor who will prioritize DC residents instead of suburban drivers and suburban business interests. |
I will appreciate that she is gone. |
Me too! Cannot wait. |
I don't like Bowser, but the people vying to replace her would be disastrous. Home rule will absolutely end if JLG is elected. She would be a gift to Trump. |
At least it shows on the ground support, unlike big donor based elections where the millionaires and billionaires own the candidates. |
Well then if you didn't have a reason to support JLG - you do now! |
You may be right. I voted for her as a protest vote against Todd only to realize he at least handled basic constituent services like sending the leaf collectors back around if they skipped your block. So if she could make me appreciate Todd I have no doubt that there's a successor in the wings who could make me appreciate her. Yay, D.C. |
| I received a survey on my phone comparing "policies" of McDuffie, Lewis-George, and Mendelson for Mayor. Good Grief!!! |
Have you heard Mendelson is running? |
|
Mayor Bowser has served this city well. The city is well run, she weathered the pandemic, Trump, brought back sports teams. Was she perfect? No, but I think she was very good for this city.
|
There is a rumor someone other than McDuffie is going to announce their candidacy tomorrow (Wednesday). My bet is that its Mendelson. |
The city is well run? Did you just move here from Communist-era Albania? |
