Saw it yesterday (theater was packed!) and what a great movie! Don't want to spoil anything, but amazing acting all around, direction and musical score, just so fresh, modern and different. Just a warning it's pretty sexual so go only with someone you're comfortable watching that with, and it has a pretty intense strobe light scene I had to close my eyes for. Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson should get Oscar nominations for this. |
My only question is how does Nicole Kidman look half her age!!!! |
surgery |
I think she looks 45-50 in the movie but her body is insane. |
Whatever she’s had done is really good. She doesn’t look freakish like Madonna. |
I hated it lol which is sad because this may have been Nicole most daring role. She was great. That script was not |
See I thought it was unexpected in terms of dynamics, how everyone reacted. Only part I disliked was the montage which felt lazy, would have liked more build up. |
NK has been nominated for every single best actress award in the run up to Oscar noms (with some big competition). I don’t know how many awards she’s winning, but it’s been several. She hasn’t received this much recognition for a role since 2017, Big Little Lies. |
I thought she looked like a 50 something woman with plastic surgery. I thought they may have made her look more fake specifically for the role (showing her getting botox, etc). Her hands definitely show age. But yeah her body looks great. |
Hands give awah age every time. Then necks. |
I thought script was terrible and the final edit was a bit of a mess. There was what I thought to be an interesting plot point to be examined (her childhood/reasons for therapy) that if they’d been explored more could’ve made it a better story and explained why she was a horrible person/partner.
And just because her age is mentioned here: I happened to re-watch Eyes Wide Shut right after and no, NK does *not* look young in Babygirl. |
Totally looking forward to watching this with a group of my girlfriends and a big glass of wine. It looks like hoot! |
How is BLL 7 years ago? |
Porn masquerading as art. |
In the eyes of the beholder. Thankfully, we still have freedom of choice in this country. |
