I am not familiar with the book or movie

This makes me think he killed that lesbian couple. Even though they didn’t disappear, he may have gotten off simply by killing them and watching the world wonder what happened to them, while he was still right there in the area. He is sick! It is scary how sick people can be. Just terrifying.

I thought they said it was not connected.

NP. I don’t know if they’re connected. But there were three women killed in the same area at the same time. We know who murdered one, but not the others. And we’re all sort of moving on, focused on one of them. Women are not safe anywhere.

Notice how she seemed apologetic for her part in the “scuffle” and blamed herself for why Brian got angry??
She was the one clearly affected and distraught, he was acting like none of it was any big deal to him.
He showed no signs of being negatively affected by the situation. At all.

So the fact that these cops were calling him the victim is truly laughable.

Victims take the full blame because they are rightfully afraid of the negative consequences they will receive from their abuser should the cops leave them after the incident.

Brian, physically and behavior-wise with the cops, reminds me so much of that awful guy from Colorado who killed his wife and kids and shoved them into a well. Forget his name.

The police stated last week that there was no connection. Unclear if that will change now that Gabby’s body has been found. Or if there is something specific about the couple that makes them sure there is no connection.

She had very little money, no water and did not know a soul anywhere near the area. They let her drive off in the early evening when she was so scared and had no idea where she would spend the night. She was the perfect prey for an unscrupulous predator. Meanwhile they drove the Male to a paid for hotel, even walked him up to the front desk and made sure everything was set up. He got to sleep in a warm bed, have a hot shower and got unlimited color television 📺 for the next twelve hours.

I am not accusing these cops of Gabrielle’s death. That would be so unfair.
What I am accusing them of is lousy handling of a potential DV situation.
Why label her the aggressor when she was the one crying and emotional? Why label the victim the individual who is cracking jokes and 🤜🏽🤛🏽ing the other officer’s while clearly lying to them about not owning a phone??!
Why abandon the Female while making sure the Male is properly taken care of for the evening?

The officer mentioned they cannot treat anyone different because of gender, but I disagree 1000%.
Letting a Female drive off alone with no one or nowhere to go is placing her at a much higher risk than doing it for a Male. Watching the police cam video I see such an obvious injustice my blood boils.

And that is before adding the context that is available now. 🤨

Umm she was fine though. She died 13 days later but not because she drove off alone but because she went right back to her abuser.

It was her van. They couldn’t let him take a van he didn’t own.

Chris Watts. Yes- and they look somewhat alike.

You had me until your last sentence, which is demeaning to women on so many levels.

Please stop trying to make the cops the bad guys. They had a 911 call saying that Gabby had hit him. He had scratches on his face. They both confirmed that Gabby hit him while he was driving. They had no evidence that he hit her. The other 911 call saying he hit her was from another incident. The fact that they didn’t charge her implies that they knew something was off about the story, but they simply didn’t have grounds to do anything else other than what they did.

Can someone explain to me how Brian could be so bald at the age of TWENTY THREE? I seriously thought the guy was like 40. He's so ugly.

And no coincidence: they are both men!

Not all bald guys are ugly. But he is both ugly and bald, yes.

I cannot in good faith agree with the posters who are saying the cops did a great job.

Because they did not.
No, they did not cause her murder in any way.
That is not their fault.

What IS their fault is that they handled the August 12 situation horribly.
They didn’t take into account that another witness had claimed that Brian was seen striking Gabby.

He had a receding hairline and shaved it. They seemed equally attractive/not attractive. She looked like she was 12.

In any case their relative beauty and their ages don’t matter. Two people with mental health issues were far from home, living in a van amping up their issues. And now at least one of them is dead. Worse his parents decided to finally get involved after the sh!t hit the fan and are now internet fodder (possibly being charged) too.

Worse than Gabby being murdered is Brian's parents being talked about on the internet for helping their son flee justice. Worse. Of course. Perfectly reasonable take.
