How do people like Jennifer Hudson and Nicole Richie maintain weight loss for decades?

Is it surgical? Nutritionists?

I went from 135 to 265 and back and up, rollercoastering over the years. I also have two family members who gained their weight back post weight loss surgery and I’ve always been curious for those who are able to keep it off in Hollywood, what are they doing differently?

They have a team that ensures they keep it off. Trainers, nutritionists, chefs, etc.

It is their job to keep it off and there are entire economies in LA to make this happen for celebs.

Some people have very small appetites. My mother is very underweight. My best friend is very underweight. My son is very underweight. None have anorexia. They like food, but just feel full very quickly.

I have a BMI of 19 at 44. I don't have a big appetite, but I do like cheese and chips, so I have to watch those two things.

I had weightloss surgery in 2017 and have kept off 100 pounds. I really love my body now (I had a tummy tuck to get rid of loose hanging skin and a breast lift) and how I feel in clothes and just all the benefits of being smaller.

But more than that, I just don't have the desire to eat out of control like I did before I had the surgery. I can eat A cookie and move on. I can have small portions of things I like, savor it and move on. Food noise is gone.

I think some diet doctors, especially expensive Hollywood doctors, have been using compounded glp1s for at least a decade now.

They work really really well.

Walking 3 to 4 miles a day helps a lot.

Regarding small appetites I have a large one and when I am able to conquer my instincts to eat 2.5-4 servings of something and get down to just one, after 3-ish days my body adjusts and my appetite shrinks.

I lost weight and kept it off. You really have to have your life kind of revolve around it. It's hard and I think ozempic and wegovy are miracle drugs that help people keep it off.

People talk about weight loss as willpower but it isn't like the willpower to finish a race or something. It is willpower 24/7, forever, which is virtually impossible. Very few people can just keep it off.

Nicole had an eating disorder for a long time and also battled addiction. I’m sure she has a highly restrictive diet now (a form of disordered eating) and uses that control to keep herself from seriously relapsing on either one.

Nobody in great shape got there or stays there by walking a little each day.

When was Nicole Richie ever normal or over weight?

That’s the problem- she was bigger by early-2000s Hollywood standards when she filmed The Simple Life next to Paris Hilton. That kicked off her eating disorder.

I think Nicole Richie was (rightly) traumatized by the brutal public response to her body when she was on the simple life. Blah blah, I know she signed up, but that was very very early days of reality tv and I don’t think she understood what she was getting into

Are you too young to remember or is this a trick question, like actually her weight was fine but people were cruel about it?
