Nobody in great shape got there or stays there by walking a little each day.

Excuse me? I'm 5' 10" and have weighed about 135-137 all my adult life. Walking 3 to 4 mikes every day may not put you in the greatest shape (I used to work out at Crossfit) but it can sure keep the pounds off.

3-4 miles per day is not "walking a little each day". That's a LOT of walking. To put that in perspective for you, that would take me, someone 5'4", at least three hours.

WTF? What are you doing crawling?

I used to run marathons and played college soccer--but that shot my lower back. So--I recently had to switch to walking over running and can do 4 miles easily in an hour.

and I'm also 5'4" and 54 years old.

I'm a walker, not a jogger or runner, and a moderately paced walk would get that done in under 2 hours.

+1. So sillly. I walk at a rather relaxed rate, watching my Netflix, on the treadmill every morning for one hour. I walk at 3.5 mph and get in...3.5 miles. Definitely doesn't take three hours, unless you're walking at a snail's pace.

Keep in mind, celebrities have the best access to chefs who can prepare healthy meals for them all the time as well as personal trainers, stylists, etc.

And knowing their entire careers…..livelihoods depend on their appearance can be a huge driving force to stay fit.

Because if Nicole Richie never got thin - I doubt that she would be famous today and have a jewelry line.

Jennifer Hudson would be since she has a great talent in singing.

That’s the problem- she was bigger by early-2000s Hollywood standards when she filmed The Simple Life next to Paris Hilton. That kicked off her eating disorder.

Next to the tall, thin svelte Paris Hilton Nicole looked pudgy.
She had previously been in rehab for drugs & everyone eats a lot in rehab.

She eventually dropped the lbs. and became equally as stunning as Paris.
