How do people like Jennifer Hudson and Nicole Richie maintain weight loss for decades?

I think Nicole Ritchie calmed down: stopped partying (drinking, etc), and eating crap food once she got married and had kids. Then she's rich and can afford a team of people (chef, child care, personal trainer, etc). so keep her eating healthy.

I lost weight and kept it off. You really have to have your life kind of revolve around it. It's hard and I think ozempic and wegovy are miracle drugs that help people keep it off.

People talk about weight loss as willpower but it isn't like the willpower to finish a race or something. It is willpower 24/7, forever, which is virtually impossible. Very few people can just keep it off.

It really depends on the person. I lost 45 pounds 3 years ago (160 to 115). My life does not revolve around weight maintenance and I don't need much willpower to maintain a 20 BMI. I have a big appetite and eat a lot. I just eat better food than I used to and exercise moderately.

If I had a metabolism that required me to eat 1200 calories a day indefinitely, it would be a different story. But I only got to 160 lbs at 5'4 by stress eating 3000+ calories a day for years on end.

Nobody in great shape got there or stays there by walking a little each day.

Excuse me? I'm 5' 10" and have weighed about 135-137 all my adult life. Walking 3 to 4 mikes every day may not put you in the greatest shape (I used to work out at Crossfit) but it can sure keep the pounds off.

3-4 miles per day is not "walking a little each day". That's a LOT of walking. To put that in perspective for you, that would take me, someone 5'4", at least three hours.

Simple Life Years she looked atleast a size 12/14 given she is 5’1 - 2003-2007:

I am her height and bigger than she is in those pics and I am a 6 at the very most. Sizing is weird. I am always a smaller size than I look.

The camera adds 10 lbs, she was probably a size 8 at most. And that was a size 8 back then, not now. Jennifer Hudson was never that big either honestly. But when you’re a celeb and you have money and connections, you usually have a personal chef and a trainer at a minimum, and looking good is basically your whole goal so you spend a lot of time on it. It’s a lot harder for average people!

Nicole Ritchie a size 12? Ha! Please.
She was probably a size 4 at her heaviest. She was known for being anorexic looking.

It takes you an hour to walk a mile? It should take 20-30 minutes to walk one.

WTF? I can walk a mile in 15-20 minutes this would take a normal healthy person around an hour. I regularly run 3-4 miles and I’m not as thin as they are. How slow do you walk? There is no way this is what they do to stay in shape.

Excuse you. 3-4 miles doesn’t make you look like Nicole Richie. That’s not her diet and exercise plan and if she says it is she’s lying.
