| The IAC has never had a season where everyone played each other twice (excluding EHS who decided to only play IAC schools once - except St. Stephens, so they could play VA schools and then opt out of the IAC tourney to play in the VA Prep Tourney. Might the geniuses in charge have thought there might be some complications like this? Might they have come up with a better way to solve the easily foreseen problem by establishing new criteria for a new model for the season? Either they are stupid or lazy. You can just choose one, I choose both. |
|
Prep is getting screwed here because they are playing a more difficult team to beat than they should have until the final.
You can bet Landon would not have lost to EHS and St. Stephens would have then been solidly 4th. I agree, the AD's are both. |
| Both |

Perhaps, but if they are supposedly as good as advertised, it should not matter who they play. |
|
All this parental hand wringing about seeding seems absurd, if you want to win you have to beat the best. None of the coaches or players care who they have to play. Win and advance. |
| Considering that 3 months ago we didn’t know for sure there would be a season and that as recently as a week ago we didn’t know for sure there would be a tournament, perhaps we can chill on seeding and be grateful that the boys will be able determine the outcome on the field. |
I agree with the previous poster, this episode further proves just how lazy and incompetent ADs and headmasters have been this season. You resort to a coin flip as the absolute latest method to determine rank and seedings. Clearly the ADs and headmasters had no defined criteria to determine seedings as Landon was ahead of SS/SA in both goals for and goals against. And while people are suggesting Landon got screwed, don't forget GP is also getting screwed too. At the end of the day, the kids don't care who they line up against, they just want to play. |

has the Gonzaga - St Johns game been rescheduled for this week? If so, date / location / time
|
It hasn’t. St. John’s has tried to reschedule but Gonzaga has come up with an excuse for makeup options. Doesn’t sound like it will happen. |
|
Not true.
The DM pause has forced several schools to move games around. Keeping within the two game a week limit is the issue. |
|
absolutely pathetic move by Gonzaga AD and Head Coach Casey O'neil.
|
| I have to imagine the GZ v SJC game will happen. You can't duck that game. |
|
Gonzaga will find an excuse not to have the game this Spring.
Classic Move by Gonzaga admin |
Not true. St. John’s cancelled Ireton and McNamara game to make room for Gonzaga. Gonzaga would rather play McNamara than St. John’s. |
