You know nothing about marketing, I see.

I don't like any of them. But the glaring reality is that H&M are wildly popular worldwide, have a kid to support, and can make a lot more money out of the weird and nasty BRF than in it. Their time to make money is now, not in ten years. The palace would never have worked with them so they did it on their own. William has a reputation of being nasty, so they couldn't wait on him. The press coverage worldwide is largely positive of H&M. It's a common sense decision driven by shrewd market awareness, but the frothing posters here have no idea.

Also, the divorce prediction babbling just sounds stupid, though entertaining to read. It's entirely possible they'll end up divorced (like a high number of people in the world), but that does not mean this wasn't a sharp marketing move.

This is my take as well.
It does seem that perhaps “the court” has an agenda here. I get the feeling maybe the brother’s would have been fine, but the staff has been working to exacerbate the tension.
I would like to know to what end. Who benefits when Harry leaves?
Charles has been whittling down the family and cutting people off.
Isn’t it possible that this is the work of lesser royals, trying to get back on the gravy train?

The court is panicking because they're quickly headed to irrelevance.

Wow!! MM left the baby in Canada with a nanny!!!!???!!!

She did a quick trip to the U - there and back in 3 days. With jet lag, not great for a baby. She left the baby with the nanny and with her best friend. Kid was fine. Likely spends a lot of time with the nanny and her best friend has young kids who likely loved having a baby around.

I am no fan of MM but don't care that she didn't truck an 8 month old on a quick international trip.

+1

Easier on him to stay back.

Well they have themselves to blame. Seems like Harry and Megan had a hand to play, and are playing it. Good for them.

The extent of Megan’s “marketability” is with the few hundred 40-ish yo wino spinsters who write message board fan fic glorying her gold digging and pretending she wasn’t a plain Jane D list nobody. Good luck with the Givenchy fashion line. I don’t know too many terminally single women in HR who wear Givenchy tho...

Oh please. This is a mother who left her 4 month old at home to leave the continent to watch a tennis game and then leaves her 8 month old again to go to another continent to make an announcement. She’s clearly not very attached to him. I don’t believe for a second that all of the helicopter moms on DCUM would support this.

Ah yes, the west is so racist. Pray tell the least racist countries.

She’s been “consulting” with Beyoncé and Serena Williams lol
Someone might want to tell her they actually have talent.

And at least the Kardashian clan is interesting, to some.

Megan is a boring plain Jane married to a balding ginger. She’s gonna have this putz on some desperate E! or Bravo reality show. Watch.

That's pretty funny. Totally unaware of global marketing and branding, but funny.

They probably want the lessor Royals to do the Royal work so they can cut back and delegate it to others. Harry really plays no role. He is not in the direct line anymore so him pulling out/back makes sense.

MM is beautiful and knows how to play the press. Harry .... I see them both on RHBH frankly. They know how to get attention but it was more interesting when they were Royals. They are still Royal but much less interesting.

"Harry, you've hated these last 40 yrs of life under a microscope, the Paps in every direction, and now scrutiny from social media. I dont know how you can endure it much longer. I've put up it with it for a year and it is driving me mad inside. And what about Archie? Our dream, yes? And W&K are beyond smug. It is a wonder you two are only now just drifting apart. You should've spoken up to him years ago. We can't do this anymore. You're tired. I'm tired. We're done here, hon"

"Look, MM, I love you to pieces and I am thrilled to have found you in my life. You and archie mean the world to me, but i can't leave Palace life. It is who i am whether i want it or not. I have a duty. My whole family is here. My whole life".

"No, harry! Your life is with me and Archie now. It is either us or them!! Which one will it be??!!"

Harry just turned 36 a few months ago. What’s with referring to him as near 40? There are number of posts doing this. I don’t get what the point is.

36 is pretty different from 40.
