Why does the press refer to the brothers as Nigerians? They’re US citizens. And they barely touched the loser. I’d guess the manager was in on the hoax because he stood to make more money as well.

Since he would only offer the police redacted phone records, does anyone know if they have been able to subpoena the full phone records and could that implicate others in this crime?

Eddie Johnson (superintendent of CPD) said yesterday that the injuries to Smollett from the staged attack were negligible; maybe a couple bumps or bruises and those tiny scratches under his eye were likely self-inflicted. Don't know about the manager and if that story has been refuted or not. If his manager was in on it he should pay for it too.

I cannot imagine that his manager was in on it. This seemed to have been dreamed up by Smollett and executed by him. I simply cannot believe that his manager would have thought, "Yeah, that would be a great idea." I think he called his manager specifically to have a "witness" who would hear the screams of "MAGA Country!"
