After watching the video of that Hong Kong U. doctor, I believe that this virus is soon (next 3-4 months) to be everywhere. Major cities first. If we aren't getting the virus from a few cities in Chine it'll be coming from elsewhere.

Travel restrictions at this point are shutting the barn door after the horse got out.

If you have flu like symptoms right now it is probably the flu which is definitely going around. But pretty soon it could easily be this novel coronavirus.

Frankly, I'd prefer to get it right now, so if I have complications, there's plenty of medical help available. AT the peak of an epidemic there probably won't be easy access to life saving treatment that we have right now.

I think in many cases the novel corona virus is mild but I'm older and my husband in particular has many health conditions. I kind of wish we can just get it over with since there's no vaccine and no medications.

No you most likely don’t even meet the criteria for getting a test. You can go to doctor and get tested for the regular flu though if it would help assure you.
