The Saints beat them last year in regular season and then Potomac came back and beat them in a final game. They played them twice last year.

SSSAS was pretty wasteful on offense to start the game only converting on 3 of 11 possessions in the first half.

SSSAS's draw control was negated by Potomac's goalie and SSSAS’s sloppy offense.

SSSAS’s defense was impenetrable and completely negated Potomac’s offense only allowing 3 goals with 2 coming off pretty questionable 8 meters.

As good as the Potomac goalie was she was outshined by SSSAS’s senior goalie who was standing on her head from the 1st minute of the contest.

If SSSAS capitalized on the 1st half possession they were granted from the excellent draw control they got from the Denver commit this game would have been over by the half.

Next time these 2 face each other the game may play out differently, but based on today’s performance Potomac was lucky to leave Alexandria not losing by double digits.

I would bet all those comments that if you’re like they’re coming from Sssas, parents or players are trolls and kids for other schools and parents for other schools.

Potomac did lose first game last year, but second game was an absolute butt kicking. Think it was a 10 goal running clock.

Yes. Saints tend to historically loverachieve in regular season, mostly vs a cupcake schedule, when it really doesn't matter. Post-seaaon they fold like a paper airplane.

These highschool boys need to take it elsewhere. That being said SSSAS is just that much better than Potomac and it showed today.

Responding to this now so I can come back and laugh at it this time tomorrow!

I had my laughs during the game, but by the end, I just felt sorry for Potomac.

Potomac has talented players, is well coached, and they play hard. The SSSA defense was just really stifling in the game, forced a number of poor angle and contested shots that were easy saves for a good goalie, and they are good and balanced in the draw and offensive phases. Just not Potomac’s day today.

History has a tendency to repeat itself. Sorry, blow hard Saints dads, you will be making excuses again come post-season and trying to figure out what happen when Stone Ridge wins ISL again this year and either STAB or Potomac wins VA states. Champions are crowned in post-season. Regular season success vs cupcake schedule will get you nowhere.

Only thing I remember is 16-7. Excuses are for losers.

They had all their key players back by then.

Does NCS have the coaching to beat SSSA? I don't think so, but I'd welcome another opinion.
