I could imagine that the company who makes Crock Pot raised a bit of a stink, the show writers did the episode alluding a big green egg disaster, and the show lawyers came to the writers and said, hey, let's not go through that again. Rework your plans for the marriage implosion day.

The weirdest thing to me about this episode is Kevin's string of bimbo type girls. He has come so far from this and as a family man dad it just does n't fit. in with the character we have come to know.

I don’t like Kate. She is a negative, self-serving, narcissistic person. I also find it hard to believe that Phillip would immediately fall for her and they get married? I love that Toby found Carol who shares his sense of humor and seems lovely. I only hope he was able to be happy in his career as well.

I don't mean to be rude, but yes the first two things have been discussed. In like the last couple of pages.

The idea that Kevin is pretending to be Jack is absurd and gross.

Sure, but it’s not just the product they changed. The marriage didn’t implode that day. They got in a fight, and then apparently stayed together for another 18 months or so. Why is that the day Jack ties to his parents splitting up?

Not sure that’s Cassidy. Does Kate know Cassidy? I don’t think so and probably not invited to the wedding. Madison is still with Elijah. The twins are about 6 or 7? So Kate and Phillip have been dating 5 years?

Kate and Philip might be the fakest-seeming couple I've ever seen on tv. The actor playing Philip tries, but it's just not remotely plausible.

I wish they would have matched Kate with someone more like the old Toby. She still has more chemistry with Toby than Phillip, even at their worst moments. She is so unlikeable. I feel like they had her character moving in the right direction towards some redeemable qualities and then...nope.

She and Toby were so great together. Philip is milquetoast in comparison.

This episode and the Kate-Philip milque toast comment made me realize what a great actor the guy playing Toby is. Has he been in other things?

DP. Not gross. It she thinks he's Jack (not unusual for Alzheimer's), then it would be pointless and agitating to try to disabuse her of that idea. Better to just keep her calm and happy by playing along.

I'm really annoyed at the regression in his story arc with series of women in the flashes forward. Seems to go against the character development he had when he flew with the twins back to Pittsburgh. What up with that?

Isn't this the story of Kevin's life? One step forward, two steps back?

I feel like the regression is because he came back from Philly with this idea of being with Madison and it seems like there's no chance so he's deliberately dating women he's never going to be serious about.

I realize I am an unrealistic Kevin/Madison shipper and that it seems impossible they are together in the end. But I still think it's them.

I don’t know if it was lazy editing or part of the story, but if you pause on the opening scene where Madison is popping champagne she does NOT have a wedding ring on. I think she’s single. But then again this is the show that messed up the Ovulation / Pregnancy test!
