Putting police back in public schools. |
| Hope he stays longer than the previous former police officer they hired to head the security office. |
Current head is not a former police office. |
| As a staff member and a parent, I like this a lot. I hope he’s able to make a positive change for safer schools. |
She's the acting chief safety officer; her predecessor was former DC police assistant chief Pamela Wheeler-Taylor, who left after a few months. |
| I wonder if this was already in the works when he announced his plan to retire. |

Of course it was. MoCo is corrupt. |
How is applying for a job corrupt? |
| Why are we installing a retiree in a job that needs active leadership? |
+1 As a staff member I would really like to see better training of security personnel in simply how they manage school entry, monitor the building, and interact with students. There is a lot of inconsistency among security personnel right now. |
You actually believe Marcus applied for the job and won the position fairly? It was held for him and there was not a competitive application process. |
