What did the Palestinians think would happen when they killed and abducted seniors, babies, farm workers and peace concert attendees just going about their life?

And what did the Israelis think would happen when they repeatedly defied international law and kept grabbing more and more land from the Palestinians and pushing them into a narrow strip of land while controlling how much food, water and electricity they get. You keep harping about Israel defending themselves. Well maybe Hamas came in because they wanted to defend their land and get it back from their occupiers. Maybe was defense for them as well. See two can play this game. And stop acting willfully ignorant and thinking this conflict started on October 7th. Israel has been very brutal and has taken thousands of Palestinians as prisoners with no charges. So if you are so obsessed about Israel’s defense, maybe Hamas was also in defense mode and wanted a release of thousands of Palestinians that have been kept in Israeli prisons with no trial. Don’t act as if Israel is an innocent party who just wants to get along with everyone…far from it. The repeated atrocities against Palestinian civilians and their dehumanization will lead to extremism and sadly innocent Israelis paid a price for it.

There is a difference between killing people in a war and "genocide". It doesn't matter how many times you say the word; it is simply not what is happening here.
Do you understand what war is? And what happens during war? Do you understand that wars have been raging all over the world your entire life? Wars involve blackouts, hunger, thirst, buildings turned to rubble, dead children. It is hell and it's been happening somewhere since the day you were born and for thousands of years before that.

It is tragic that innocent people have been killed but Hamas is not trying to protect Palestinians. They really don't care about them. I realize this hard to understand but it is the reality. Today I learned that a friends brother, the brothers children, and the brothers grandchildren had been killed in a strike. They were not Hamas.

I also learned that the wife, 7 year old daughter and 15 year old son of an Al Jazeera journalist were killed in an air strike.
