How about the other grades at Maret? Anyone get off the K or 1st grade waitlist?????
Anonymous
Ok, I'm the poster who wrote about my fabulous 7th grade boy being waitlisted "plus" the handwritten note for Maret. Just this minute I opened an acceptance to WIS!!! We are THRILLED, this was our first choice. At the same time we received a small envelope from GDS saying we're waitlisted and return the card. I thought there was issues with the economy!! Guess it's a banner year for applicants after all. Good luck everyone!

Don't be. Sidwell is a "Friends" school in name only these days. We are Quakers and did not apply.

I know this is a little off=topic but, while we have the Friends people here - what about Sandy Spring or Friends Community? Are they considered more Friendsy?

Yes, Sidwell, Norwood and GDS.
WL Maret, no handwritten note.
Will be attending GDS. K. Girl

1) No one is mentioning a connection if there is one.

2) MORE IMPORTANT TO ME: I would be VERY interested in how many of the acceptances "YES" candidates wrote first letter choices and at which school. Would be a helpful stat not just about the "Yes" school, but I'm interested in whether schools like Sheridan for example only outright take candidates from "first choice letter" pool.

I did not know there was such a thing as writing 'first choice letters'. Huh? All of this useful information after the fact ...
