Unless you are expecting bombing, a city is more likely to keep your family safe from predatory groups of rebels looking for shelter, supplies, and “entertainment”.

When was there ever in this country a serious effort to disarm the population? The assault weapons ban was perhaps the closest we've ever come, and today there are more guns than ever before. In recent years the discussion has been entirely about things like background checks. And we couldn't even get that after one of your gun worshiping ilk shot up an elementary school. If you think it's fascism that a country requires a background check before you own an AR-15, or blocks designated terrorists from owning an AR-15, you're both ignorant and insane. This is a common trick you guys play - ask gun-owners to justify how effective their guns would be against the federal government, and then if gun owners reply, you accuse them about fantasizing about killing military members.
