When did they buy the house? Most of the decor makes me think that Tom bought it pre-Erika and just paid an interior designer and she had to live with those choices.

I could be wrong, but I don’t ever remember seeing the grounds of their house. The backyard is truly breathtaking.

Also- 13mil for only 4 bedrooms?!?!!!!

There was an episode, I think it was her first season when she had an afternoon party around the pool. She had shirtless guys passing drinks but Tom wasn't there, but I think a few of the other husbands were. I am surprised she never freshened up the interior at all. The heavy drapes, old televisions, old tile etc.. I love the 2 palm trees in the front though.

It is a relic in need of repair, cracked steps mildew on outdoor pavement, everything is outdated. Can’t imagine any life in that house but shows the story of two people leading separate lives. Another Housewives divorce and sale of home. Like the ugly goth castle of Carlton Grebbia sold on Million Dollar Listing.

It truly is a beautiful house. The pool!

I think she had an inkling he was declining. She had no hand in his business and I believe her mistake was in trusting that his coworkers/partners were managing it all. I believe when she accepted money from him, she though he had it- like he always did. You can ride on a name at a law firm for many years, with everyone benefiting from the name association and I think that's what happened here. I don't believe he was the only taker I believe the coworkers and others at the firm knew but did not sound the alarm.

To those calling her 'white trash' - who actually speaks like that? I don't see her turning into a crappy human being (not caring about who he hurt) even if she were to return to her poor roots. I didn't grow up poor but I certainly don't judge those who did and got out of it.

I'm interested in seeing how she processes all this on the show- especially as she has never easily shared her personal self in-depth. I really hope they delve into that or I will be annoyed as this is a chance for her to clear her name- or look like part of the problem.

It's a historical house, built by a famous architect. The wood is heavy and dark, but it would be insane to paint over it. It's old money, not low income new money.
