That’s putting a fine point on it.

Not worthless. It’s just that as you get older the age gaps tend to get older for both biological and social reasons. Women aren’t as wired to be attracted to youth because men are basically sperm donors and providers, which they can do well into middle age.

The flip side is that women have the option of dating older guys with money, which men can’t generally do. Some young women like the idea of bypassing the typical struggles of early adulthood by marrying an older man. I don’t mean much older, necessarily.
