YNT Identification Center

You can debate why but MYS has the most current YNT from this area, that is a fact. Her DD played at MYS when these girls were selected, that is a fact. She was a scout then, that is a fact.

Now the her DD plays for FCV, suddenly FCV players are getting the lions share of invites, including her DD. See a pattern here? It's a major problem of biased invites along with nepotism.

This post shows the poster's ignorance of the process. The Training Centers only go up to U15 - so these MYS girls never had the opportunity to play in the GDA when they were also young enough to be at the Training Centers. Argument relative to these players is idiotic.

As for the scout...she took the job BEFORE her daughter went to the GDA. Her daughter then left MYS one year later to join the strongest team in that age group in the area.

Also, FCV had almost as many players in the Training Center before her daughter joined that club.

Are you suggesting that her daughter should have stayed on a lower team and not joined the best team she could have to please the scout's critics? That is stupid.

Are you suggesting that a career soccer person turn down a job that career soccer people would strive for to please critics that cannot and will not ever be pleased? Also stupid.

Are you suggesting that a scout should evenly distribute Training Center spots among clubs to please critics? Then what is the point of the Training Center if it is for equal participation? One could argue that GDA deserves even more spots than they receive but that the complainers are costing deserving kids these spots.

Like many posters have said, if you think your DD deserves to be in the Training Center, tell her coach. If you believe that GDA players have unfair advantages over non GDA players, then have your DD go tryout at a GDA. If you feel like the club a scouts child plays for has an unfair advantage, have your DD tryout for that team.

If you think that high school soccer is more important than playing GDA soccer, then enjoy your DD playing high school soccer and stop complaining that other players don't value it. Maybe, just maybe, if your club practices 2 or 3 times a week for 6 months of the year, your DD isn't getting better as quickly as the girls in the GDA that get 10 months of training 4 times a week without abusing their bodies from overuse in HS seasons.

The people complaining here sound pathetic. Make your choice, be happy with it and STFU.

I know! Crazy how DA kids are getting scouted over ECNL kids now.

It's more specific than that. FCV players are being scouted over every other club now that her DD plays there. Before McLean Youth Soccer was scouted over every other club when her DD played there.

No, it is pretty much that simple.

I'm sure it would look better for a US Soccer Scout to have her kid play in ECNL?

She also had the job for a year while her kid was still playing ECNL before the move was made. So after a year of watching DA games she also chose the club/team she felt was best for her kid.

There is nothing nefarious about this at all.

If you think your kid is being overlooked then start with her coach. A email to US Soccer is free and if your coach is valued and trusted then US Soccer will take a look. Otherwise move your DD to a DA. But US Soccer is going to prioritize DA kids over ECNL.

BS. YTC recognizers talented players in ECNL. ECNL is still stronger than DA. FCV and WS would do anything to have ECNL girls and coaches.

LMAO on this one. Stronger then DA? What age groups? These ECNL girls and coaches? What age groups and clubs? This is delusional.

The one LTAO is the DA as they take the delusional parents checks to the bank. In note section they write, “another brainwashed parent.” Doesn’t matter what age group, because ECNL develops and DA recruits.

ECNL develops. Funny.

Someone may want to take a look at two of the top ECNL clubs in the area (BRYC & McLean) and tell us how they develop vs. recruit. BRYC and McLean can be found hiding in the woods recruiting at other clubs' games. LMAO.

If they’re hiding how are they recruiting?

McLean’s 02 ECNL coach has been seen hiding in the bushes at local competitors training sessions to ID players he wants to take. But, keep thinking he’s developing players.

BRYC same.

Still how can they recruit by taking notes?

wow. dense. I will bite. Why would they be there if not to recruit?

If she gave advantage to that team then, that would explain why MYS has more players on the YNT than any other club currently.

Don't think it is dense. I think this is one of the two coaches (BRYC or McLean) trying to excuse hiding in bushes by saying they were "taking notes".
