I hear you. I’m a Dem- liked Rose the best but voted for Blair because I got the feeling it was a two man race. I don’t really like our choices either. Elrich may be saying all the right words right now but based on his track record I’m skeptical. |
Based on your inclination to namecalling I assume you’re voting for Ficker |
AND THIS IS HOW WE GOT THE CURRENT PREZ. VOTING IS NOT FOR "SENDING A MESSAGE" - we are stuck with whomever we vote in office, so please vote for whomever you think will do the best job, not the person you think is thumbing your nose at the establishment. |
Nope. Sometimes a nose DOES indeed have to be thumbed at the establishment. Because the establishment doesn't give a sh!t about me, except to squeeze a little more money out me every year. Beyond that, that don't care whether I live or die. So every now and then, a human hand grenade needs to be thrown into their cozy little cabal. And Ficker is that hand grenade. And I hope he blows the walls out. |
| Ficker as CE will turn us into Prince George’s County. |
How so? |
| Ficker. |
|
There's at least a dozen "Robin" signs on a half mile stretch of Connecticut Ave in Kensington. It's pretty shocking, given what a heavily democrat area that tends to be.
If he has that kind of support in a place like that, he may really pull it off. |
| Vote the hand grenade, ficker |
| A handful of ficker signs on Georgia near forest glen too |
|
2015: Trump as president? Never, ever could happen
2017: Ficker as County Executive? Impossible They aren't exactly aligned politically, but I feel like we're falling down the rabbit hole again and into a parallel universe. Elrich isn't perfect, but he's a far better choice than Ficker. Just hoping Floreen won't be the Ralph Nader of 2018. |
I think he pays people to put up those signs. Kind of disturbing, but why would he have particular targeted supports on highway exits, coincidentally? |
It’s true. The county is a mess- we had a chance to put in someone good and all we have are two back slapping spending without thinking bankrupting our hard working citizens to flatter developers and CASA friends sloths to choose from. It’s pathetic. |
Oh, I forgot ‘the people of Potomac’. Floreen and Elrich are here to ‘keep development, no matter how useful’ (ie: schools) out of Potomac! Yeah, exciting!!! Carrots for the uber rich while milking the middle class dry and paving over their neighborhoods!!!
|
Floreen is doing this, not Elrich. Again, the council sucks, but Elrich was always the 1 in the 8 to 1 vote. |
