Maybe. But it seems like the majority of the slut-shaming comes from other women, even though men usually get the blame.

men love sluts because otherwise they would get no sex

By that logic your mother is a slut

she slept with one man total in her life

I defer to your previous post. (One that you know of anyway)

it was already explained to you (not by me). men love suits because it increases the supply of sex so they don't need to get married. they just move from
One slut to the next. women hate sluts for the same reason - it decreases the supply of men willing to get married.

my own parents dated in an age where there was basically no sluts and almost all men got married.

This thread has moved in a stupid direction. "Men love to pursue. Women are sluts if they let themselves get caught without getting married. Your mom's a slut."

No one "explained to me", you may have the wrong person. (Also its an opinion, not a fact that is explained to someone) I agree with you, I took exception to the comment that implied if a women is having sex she is "slut". It is clear you clearly you did not mean it that way. Men also are less inclined to marry now because there is not much upside for them. Think about the average women (or it seems) expects the princess treatment, someone that can financially provide for a family or very least makes more than her, a lot of the traditional things and yet gives you a blank stare when ask what she brings to him in a marriage. Add that they are on the downslope of the reproduction curve and its not a great deal for a lot of men.

And that is a shame.

Slut shaming comes from other women because women who give up sex so quickly and easily make the dating game harder for every other woman out there. Men no longer need the stability of a relationship or marriage for sex, companionship and family. So women give them all of this easily without any commitment and as soon as they meet a guy.

Thanks sluts!

sorry guess I am in dating for the sex not the free things men give me.

not play games = goes for sex on first date. yeah, not many women worthy anything will do that.

What does a woman's "worth" have to do with how soon or long they wait before having sex? I mean, outside of the middle ages.

Well, if you are willing to f$*k a stranger, you may not possess good judgement. Possessing good judgement is a valuable characteristic.

Yep, all guy love a sl*t, but no guy wants to keep one.

Why are you calling people sluts? Male or female, it's bad judgement to get intimate with a stranger. There is information you need to be sure it's a good idea. I don't think being quick to f*ck makes one a slut, I think it makes them foolish. Sex feels good, you can't fault people for wanting it right away.

So you say the concept of anyone possibly being a sl** doesn't exist?

I think you believe it does. I don't hold people (except those I am/have been intimate with) to my standards. I also don't judge people for their choices. I have not had any trouble finding a mate who shares my values.

I really do not understand calling other people sluts when you and them never have any interact. Also sticking to a formula of I never sleep with anyone till date number x is extremely rigid. It is very similar to alcoholic anonymous 12 step program. It’s like you can not trust your own judgements or desires.

Uh ok, don't . But the idea that men differentiate between sexually active and confident women and future wives is bullshit.

No it’s definitely not. A lot of men do not want to marry a girl who’ll sleep with any man who buys her dinner. It may not be fair but it’s very true. The number of men who want a wife who has had casual sex with lots of men is just not that high.

The number of us who look a gift horse in the mouth is not high. If you've got looks and personality, and you're good in bed, you're a keeper.

Anonymous wrote:Men like the chase. There is definitely something fulfilling about having a crush on a woman, being creative in wining and dining, seducing her out of the bedroom, which eventually leads to anticipation and hopefully great sex and a relationship.

This isn't that different than anything else in life. You gain more fulfillment from working for something meaningful, even if its hard to get at first. Saving money for your first guitar is more meaningful than having your rich parents give it to you. Spending time to prepare a gourmet meal and eating it slowly is more satisfying than McDonalds fast food.

Men also can have sex just to scratch an itch. Or because it's there. A man with a high sex drive is not fully in control of his decisions (no I am not talking about rape, I am talking about the ability to say no if a woman is willing to have sex with you on the first date).

It's not so much that men don't respect women who have sex on the first date or are easy to catch, but that it doesn't allow the longing, anticipation, excitement to build.

Do you get how bad you just made men look?

I don't think that made men look bad.

I have been married for many years. When I was dating, I thought about my future husband. I needed enough experience to be an excellent lover, but not so much that I became sleazy.

Copout answer, words exist or a reason, now whether you think the word represents something to good/bad or indifferent is another thing. BS, you judge people for their choices, one that does not make judgments based on choices or behavior is an idiot. You made a judgment in your earlier post. "I don't think being quick to f*ck makes one a slut, I think it makes them foolish." You judged their choices/behavior and determined they are foolish.

Yes, but I only told you guys that. I'd never say it in the real world!
