I'm not a politician, so I don't take support from anyone. As a citizen, however, I'm not going to align myself with Democrats when I don't agree with many of their positions, and I'm sickened by their identity politics. So, I guess I'll just stay a Republican, disavow racism, live my life as a good person, and know that being a Republican, like I have been my entire adult life, does not suddenly make me a racist. And if you feel you need to, then go ahead and continue claiming that it does.

I have no doubt that some liberals who post here are hateful in real life. But, my liberal friends are not so.

Are you a liberal? I wish some of the reasonable liberals would speak out against some of the horrendously bigoted and sexist remarks when a liberal spews them, since it does give liberals a bad name and negates their claims that they are the party who is opposed to bigotry. For example, when a liberal calls someone "Jew boy," as happened this morning, it's pretty bad. I remind myself that such a person is a rare bigot among liberals, but then I would ask liberals to return the favor - and stop painting all, of even half, of all conservatives as racists.

No, I am a conservative. But, I do have very liberal friends who are very nice people.
I, too, am tired of the mud slinging and the name calling. I also believe it is a small, vocal, minority of people who post here who do this.

How do you know that? If you honestly believe that all conservatives are racists, then you are delusional. If it's a fact that half of all Americans are raging racists, then we as a country are effed up. God, you must live in complete despair. I'm so sorry.
