I think it's pretty clear MCPS has a bigger problem than they are willing to admit.

As parents at MCPS, what can we do to make a change? I think the parents really need to come together and layout the procedures that need to be taken to change the process. I'm talking real work and planning not just protest. Is there a group that's already working on this? I agree, the media should shed a light on this. It's beyond disturbing.

No one is working on squat. For fifty years MCPS has ignored the call for background investigations to be conducted on new hires. Taking their word for it or checking their fingerprints isn't worth a damn. They are operating with the mindset of the 1950's where everyone knew everyone else and the chance of a pedophile sneaking into the system was remote.

The judge in this case dropped the ball. He wondered whether to set bail and decided to go ahead and allow the defendant off, because he "didn't have a criminal history."

When is the justice aystem going to learn to take the protection of girl children seriously?

It is not just MCPS that our community should be angry with.
