I think it's more than possible for abusive habits to emerge later in life or in a specific relationship even if he has never exhibited such tendencies in previous relationships.

I can name any contact in my phone whatever I want & fake a conversation - those texts read very forced & staged. Just my opinion. Who knows.

Surely those texts will have to be authenticated before anyone takes them seriously. If she wants to prove they're real, she can probably obtain them from the phone service provider.

I can't imagine why people keep defending this guy. Why is it so hard to believe that Depp abused her given all of the evidence?
It's like the ridiculous Cosby defenders. So many women come forward and detail his abuse and assaults and no one believes them. Why? What is wrong with you people?

Er, no. Heather Mills comparisons are right. When something stinks, everyone can smell it.

What was the story with Heather Mills? Was she shown to have made false accusations of abuse?

I'm very curious to see how this all plays out. Sadly, it will probably never really be known who is telling the truth.

It IS gross to watch it play out - especially since there are children watching their father's name be splashed all over the news for something bad. His kids are only 14 and 17. I really had the impression that he was kind of wild when he was younger (21 Jump Street and Kate Moss days) and then figured out how to work in ways that wouldn't promote him as a sex symbol and he calmed down (married Vanessa Paradis, moved to France, etc.). But even in his wild days, he was destructive towards property, not people (except paparazzi, and they barely count as people when you consider how in your face they get).

All that to say, I'm tentatively on Team Johnny on this one (and I've not been a fan of his since his 21 Jump Street days).

Your quotes read very forced - are you somehow related to Depp?

These texts don't look staged at all. Do you really think she would be dumb to do that? In fact, these texts look almost exactly like the texts I would have with my husband or in this case - one of his friends. He has drug and alcohol addiction, and has assaulted me before.
