Okay, they were married for 15 months... what is this "years" crap...
"Amber has suffered through years of physical and psychological abuse at the hands of Johnny," the team continued. "In domestic violence cases, it is not unusual for the perpetrator's playbook to include miscasting the victim as the villain. In reality, Amber acted no differently than many victims of domestic violence, who think first of the harm that might come to the abuser, rather than the abuse they have already suffered." |
They dated for a few years before marriage. |
What exactly does that have to do with whether or not anyone cold be the victim of domestic abuse? I have no clue what went on in their relationship. However, the bolded made me curious about what one had to do with the other. A pro-gun woman, who is able to shoot with accuracy can't be a victim of domestic violence? |

He's never been accused of domestic violence before, I'm having hard time swallowing it. She's opportunistic.
She says her monthly living expenses are $43K a month. What a joke. She should try living on what she makes. |
That and the fact ex-wife of 15 years and every other woman he has dated came out string in his defense that never has shown the slightest bit of aggression toward them makes me think she's makin g it up. She's young and not highly successful. |
| His use of eyeliner is unappealing. |

In one statement her lawyer references years of abuse. Court documents state the first incident was last April on her 30th birthday.
Her story is quickly unraveling. But she'll get a nice payday so she can now afford her $40k/month lifestyle despite her $10k/month income |
Yes, those new pictures of her bruised face really make her story less believable.
I will never understand how or why people work so hard to blame the victim. |
That is the issue, PP. She had no signs of redness or bruising or of being struck when the police were at her home taking her report. |
I'm not buying her story for a host of reasons, but family and friends typically don't know jack shit about abusers so there opinions or support would be the last thing I'd consider useful in any way. |
I kind of agree with family and friends not knowing jack about abusers but the people coming forward aren't "family" as much as they are previous partners. Vanessa Pardis? Cmon. The women he used to date in long term relationships are vouching for him, so okay, I give you that maybe he daughter may not know, but the actual exes? THEY WOULD KNOW. |
| You don't think he paid his ex to make those statements? I'm sure she got something in return. |

I have been a Johnny Depp fan (except for the Pirate thing) since 21 Jump Street. I don't know if he abused her or not, but wanted to point out that
1) one does not need to be a hillbilly to be an abuser 2) Bruises can take time to show up My brother was staying with me and he was fine Fri night, but by breakfast Sat had a black eye. He had hit himself in the face with a shovel (he bent over it but it didn't go into the dirt--duh) earlier in the day on Friday. |
bruises may take time however redness and swelling is immediate... she should have had her friend record the incident. |
